Veterinary Assistant

All Creatures Animal Hospital is looking for a compassionate, skilled Veterinary Assistant to join our team. This is a part time role. Your Role & Responsibilities You will play a vital role in the daily operations of our hospital, supporting both our medical team and our clients.

Your duties will include:

Clinical Support:

Assisting veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures.

Patient Care:

Providing daily care including feeding, grooming, and the precise administration of medications.

Safety & Restraint:

Utilizing professional techniques to handle and restrain animals safely and securely.

Monitoring:

Observing and recording vital signs to ensure patient stability.

Facility Care:

Maintaining strict cleanliness and sterility in treatment areas and surgical suites.

Client Education:

Guiding pet owners on proper home care and medication protocols.

Skills & Qualifications Experience:

Previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant or in a professional animal care setting is preferred.

Technical Knowledge:

Familiarity with veterinary critical care, aseptic techniques, and animal anatomy/physiology.

Animal Behavior:

Proficiency in dog handling and a solid understanding of animal behavior management.

Physical Ability:

Strong animal restraint skills and the ability to handle pets of various sizes.

Flexibility:

Ability to provide pet sitting services within the facility when needed.
