Veterinary Assistant Georgetown Animal Clinic is looking for a compassionate, motivated, and dependable Veterinary Assistant to join our growing team! What You'll Do As a Veterinary Assistant, you'll play an essential role in supporting our veterinarians and technicians while ensuring every patient receives exceptional care.

Your responsibilities will include:

Assisting veterinarians and technicians during examinations, treatments, and procedures Safely handling and restraining animals of all sizes and temperaments using low-stress techniques whenever possible Educating clients on patient care, medications, and preventive health recommendations Maintaining accurate and thorough medical records Providing compassionate, attentive care to every patient Preparing exam rooms and treatment areas Cleaning, disinfecting, and maintaining a safe, organized hospital environment Working collaboratively with our team to create a positive experience for clients and their pets What We're Looking For Our ideal candidate is someone who: Has a genuine love for animals and a commitment to excellent patient care Is dependable, professional, and eager to learn Works well in a team-oriented environment Communicates clearly and compassionately with clients and coworkers Pays close attention to detail and follows established protocols Accepts coaching and constructive feedback as part of professional growth Previous veterinary assistant experience is preferred Physical Requirements This position requires the ability to: Lift up to 40 pounds Stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout an 8-hour shift Safely handle animals of varying sizes and temperaments Schedule Monday through Friday 35-40 hours per week No weekends Compensation Compensation is competitive and based on your experience, knowledge, and hands-on skills.
