About Us At Petplex Animal Hospital, we're committed to providing compassionate, high-quality care for pets while creating a welcoming experience for their owners. We're looking for a dedicated, reliable Veterinary Assistant to join our team and help support our veterinarians and technicians in delivering exceptional patient care. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians during examinations and procedures. Safely restrain animals for exams and treatments. Prepare exam rooms and surgical areas. Clean, disinfect, and maintain equipment and treatment areas. Feed, exercise, and monitor hospitalized animals. Collect laboratory samples and assist with diagnostic testing. Maintain accurate medical records. Stock supplies and help keep the clinic organized. Provide excellent customer service by greeting clients, answering questions, and assisting with appointments. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous veterinary, animal care, or customer service experience preferred. Ability to safely handle dogs, cats, and other small animals. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable standing, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working around animals. Pay:
$15.00 - $18.00 per hour
