The hours for this position are 11am-7pm Monday-Friday and 9am-1pm on Saturday. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for animal care and welfare, providing support to veterinarians and ensuring the well-being of animals in our clinic. This role involves hands-on interaction with various animals, assisting in medical procedures, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures. Perform routine animal care tasks including feeding, bathing, and exercising animals. Maintain cleanliness of the clinic, including kennels and examination rooms. Prepare and administer medications as directed by the veterinarian. Monitor animal behavior and health, reporting any concerns to the veterinary staff. Assist the veterinarian and veterinary technicians with veterinary procedures as needed. Maintain accurate records of patient information and treatments. Educate pet owners on proper pet care and husbandry practices. Experience Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care facility is preferred. Experience with animal husbandry practices is an advantage. Ability to work effectively in a team environment while demonstrating strong interpersonal skills. A background in veterinary technology or related fields is beneficial but not mandatory.
