Part-time, Full-time Job Description:
Seeking a Part-Time or Full-time employee to work in the Kennel Department of a fast paced veterinary hospital in Centerville Ohio.
Job Purpose:
Cares for pets by cleaning cages and the general animal area; feeding and medicating pets; reporting signs of atypical behavior; bathing, grooming and exercising pets. Including assisting Veterinarians and Veterinary Technicians in the care and treatment of pets
Duties:
Maintains pet quarters by inspecting conditions; Cleaning cages and animal areas; Disinfecting as necessary. Feeds pets by preparing foods and formulas; Placing food and water in pet cages. Dispenses medications at appropriate times. Assisting Veterinarians and Veterinary Technicians in the care and treatment of pets. Maintains pets by inspecting pets; Observing and reporting atypical behavior; Bathing, grooming and exercising. Maintains pet records by recording actions and events Keeps supplies ready by checking stock; Anticipating needs; Stocking items Light janitorial duties; Mopping; Sweeping; Laundry; Trash collection
Skills and Qualification:
Must be able to work with all types of pets, have excellent cleaning and organizational skills, and be detail oriented. Must have Open/Flexible availability and be able to work Holidays and weekends. Should be self-motivated and dependable in a fast-paced work environment. Experience in the pet care field is preferred but not required. From $13.00 per hour
Work Days:
Holidays Monday to Friday Weekends as needed
