Job Description

Header Overview Join our dynamic veterinary team as a Veterinary Assistant / Technician and become a vital part of providing exceptional animal care! In this energetic role, you will support veterinarians and pet owners by assisting with a wide range of clinical procedures, animal handling, reception and laboratory work. Your dedication will help ensure our patients receive compassionate, high-quality treatment while fostering a positive experience for pet owners. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, pet-centered environment where every day brings new challenges and rewards. Responsibilities Assist with animal restraint and handling to ensure safety and comfort during examinations, treatments, and procedures. Client communcation/ receptionist duties Conduct diagnostic radiology procedures such as X-ray imaging, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols. Perform laboratory work including phlebotomy, sample collection, and processing for diagnostic testing. Administer medications accurately under veterinarian supervision Communicate effectively with pet owners about pet care instructions, treatment plans, and post-procedure care to foster trust and understanding. Experience Prior kennel experience or animal husbandry background is highly valued. Demonstrated veterinary experience with knowledge of veterinary terminology and animal anatomy. Hands-on experience with animal restraint techniques. Proficiency in veterinary software systems for record keeping and appointment scheduling. Pay:
$13.00 - $15.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
