Job Description

Position Overview We are seeking a part-time Kennel Assistant to help care for boarding and hospitalized animals. The ideal candidate is dependable, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently in a clinical setting. Work Schedule Monday 7:30am-12pm Tuesday 7:30am-6pm Friday 8am-6pm Saturday 7:30am-2pm OR Sunday 8am-2pm (will rotate) Weekend and holiday availability required Key Responsibilities Feed and water animals as instructed by veterinary staff Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, floors, and hospital wards Walk and exercise dogs during scheduled shifts Monitor animal behavior and report concerns to veterinary team Assist with bathing and basic hygiene care Handle laundry, dishes, and end-of-day cleaning tasks Ensure proper documentation of feeding, walking, cleaning Qualifications Prior kennel or veterinary assistant experience preferred, not required Must be comfortable handling dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments Ability to follow detailed care instructions and work independently Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and be on your feet throughout shift Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
Pay:
$10.50 - $12.00 per hour
