Our bustling Urgent Care + Daytime Veterinary Facility is powered by a dedicated team of professionals who blend expertise with a deep love for animals. What We're Looking For We're searching for an Overnight Veterinary Assistants to join our dynamic team. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, communicate effortlessly with pets and people alike, and love learning as much as a dog loves treats, we want you! Qualifications Veterinary experience (1 year preferred, but training available for the right candidate). Baseline knowledge of veterinary medical terminology. Blood draws and IV catheter placement are a plus! Ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to relocate to Albany, OR before starting work. Experience with Cornerstone Software, IDEXX machines, and radiographs is a plus, but the right attitude and a hunger to grow are what truly matter to us.
Overnight Veterinary Support Staff Duties Animal Care:
Monitor, feed, and administer medications to hospitalized animals as directed by veterinarians.
Observation:
Check and document vital signs, behaviors, and any changes in condition.
Triage & Urgent Care:
Triage urgent cases, provide compassionate care for hospitalized and surgical patients.
Sanitation & Janitorial:
Clean and disinfect kennels, bedding, floors, and common areas; sweep, mop, take out trash, and ensure the facility is presentable for the next day.
Radiology & Lab Work:
Perform radiology, phlebotomy, and lab work as needed.
Pharmacy:
Fill prescriptions accurately and maintain medication inventory.
Documentation:
Update and maintain accurate medical records for all patients, including care provided, observations, and any concerns.
Urgent Response:
Notify veterinarians of urgent changes in patient status and assist with overnight urgent issues.
Basic Maintenance:
Ensure equipment and supplies are restocked and ready for use.
Communication:

Comfort with 6+ hours of independent work in a secure environment. Ability to relocate or commute before starting. At least 1 year of veterinary experience preferred (we're happy to train the right candidate). Physical stamina to stand for extended periods.
Compensation & Hours Pay:
$20.00 - $30.00/hour
