What Makes This Role Different:
You're not just assisting—you're owning your patient's journey . Once trained, you'll: Guide patients through their full appointment. Perform rehab modalities & treatments. Educate and connect with clients. Track progress and spot changes. Collaborate closely with doctors. You've got autonomy and a supportive team behind you. This position also enjoys other fun rolls including: Planning staff parties, birthdays and anniversaries The chemistry of the underwater treadmills Helping with our carbon footprint We all have additional responsibilities within the clinic to make the clinic a better place
Your Daily Vibe:
Splashing into the underwater treadmill. Using Class IV laser, shockwave & e-stim. Walking through exercises, teaching clients. Helping pets walk again, move better, and thrive.
What You Bring:
Ideally 3+ years veterinary experience (Assistant or CVT). Strong understanding of ortho/neuro conditions. Comfort with meds & metabolic cases. Team-first mindset + great communication. Tech-savvy (we're fully paperless, Mac-based).

Our clients? The ride-or-die pet parents. Our patients? From post-op recoveries to senior mobility support.

Healing Arts Animal Care in Beaverton, Oregon provides veterinary acupuncture, pet rehabilitation therapy, physical therapy and athletic conditioning to the dogs and cats of Portland, Oregon. We strive to create a team among you, your pet, your veterinarian and ourselves to create a whole package of care for your pet. Pets come through our door knowing that we're going to have fun here and this isn't "another trip to the vet." Through manual therapies, animal acupuncture, laser, ultrasound, underwater treadmill and creating a tailored individual home exercises, we strive to bring your injured pet back to speed, keep your elderly pet as an active member of the family, return your obese pet back to a functional friend and keep your athletic pet at the peak of his performance.
