Job Description

Must have 2 +years animal medicine experience for technician position. Will train technician assistant position. Progressive Small Animal Hospital and Referral Center for Advanced Diagnostics and Surgery is seeking full-time Veterinary Technician and Technician Assistant to join our team. Our technicians get to be hands-on with patient care, not just limited to animal restraint, filling prescriptions and keeping computerized exam notes. We offer high-quality diagnostic services including an extensive in-house lab with Idexx equipment, ultrasound, laser surgery, cold laser therapy, digital xray. In addition to our Veterinarians on staff, we have a Residency-trained veterinarian who comes in for advanced orthopedic and soft-tissue surgery. We are looking for skilled, compassionate technicians who are highly motivated, team players, detail-oriented, and a quick study. The right candidates need to be skilled in phlebotomy, IV catheter placement, intubation, drug calculations, surgical preparation, digital radiography, dental prophylaxis and all phases of anesthesia, including induction/anesthetic monitoring/ patient recovery. Certified Veterinary Technician is preferred, but not required if skills are balanced with experience. Pay scale is based on experience +/- Certification.
