We are a 9-doctor practice with 2 locations: Animal Ark Pet Hospital (Millcreek) and Animal Kingdom Pet Hospital (East Erie). We are a progressive, full-spectrum small-animal practice seeking a motivated, dedicated, hard-working, experienced technician or assistant to join our team. We pride ourselves on offering a welcoming environment for our team members to enable the highest standard of care for our patients. A flexible schedule, including evenings and rotating Saturdays, is required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform all duties following government regulations, hospital policies and procedures. Prepare and maintain exam rooms. Understand usage and dosage for commonly used prescription drugs, including heartworm preventative and prescription flea control products Phlebotomy Restraint Administers SQ, IM, and IV injections along with IV catheter placement Perform digital radiographs and ECGs Excellent customer service skills Client education on preventative medicine Good communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to be a team player in a fast-paced setting Computer skills (experience with Idexx Cornerstone is a plus) Perform emergency procedures as directed by the veterinarian Anesthetic monitoring

EXPERIENCE 1-2

years in small animal practice as an assistant or veterinary technician (Preferred) Candidate will preferably be certified as a Veterinary Technician or eligible to sit for the VTNE. However, candidates with prior experience in this role will be considered.

8-hour shifts 12-hour shifts Rotating Saturdays NO SUNDAYS or

HOLIDAYS LICENSE/CERTIFICATION

Veterinary Technician Certified or Eligible (Preferred)
