Job Description

Wolf Run Veterinary Clinic is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team! This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled, outgoing assistant who wants to fully utilize their clinical experience while making meaningful connections with clients and their pets. We're looking for a genuine team player — someone who is equally comfortable in the exam room, alongside our surgery team, running diagnostics, and anywhere else the day takes them. In this role, you will: Ensure efficient exam room workflow and outstanding client communication, including check-ins, treatment plan review, and discharge instructions Assist our surgery team with patient prep, setup, monitoring, and recovery Perform in-house diagnostics including microscopy and laboratory sample collection and processing Review treatment plans, provide discharge instructions, and address client questions with empathy and clarity Collaborate with your team to support the veterinarian's orders during outpatient visits, ensuring the highest level of patient care Jump in wherever you're needed — this is a team-first environment and we value versatility as much as technical skill Schedule and compensation:
Compensation:
$15 - $17 per hour, for each hour worked
Schedule:
This is a full-time position, with a 4 x 10 schedule and availability needed Monday-Friday with rotating weekend shifts every 4-5 weeks.
