Job Description

We are looking to add another Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant to our team at Valley Animal Hospital! (applicants must be at least 18 years old) Shifts will be Monday-Friday, no weekends! We are a by appointment only primary care veterinarian. Physical obligations include being able to lift at least 50 pounds without assistance, endure standing and walking on hard floors for extended periods of time, & being able to work in noisy conditions with sounds from animals & equipment. The primary responsibilities of this role: Assisting with daily routine exam & sick appointments (requires excellent animal restraint & documentation skills) Assisting with prepping patients for anesthesia & surgery Monitoring patient's anesthesia & vitals during a procedure Other responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Maintaining surgical equipment Handling & processing laboratory samples Administrating medications & injections Collecting bodily fluids (including venipuncture) Caring for hospitalized patients Maintaining the cleanliness of the hospital Reception & computer responsibilities using AVImark veterinary software

$15.00 - $18.00 per hour
