Schedule:

As a growing mixed-animal practice, we're looking for an Experienced Veterinary Assistant who enjoys hands-on patient care, thrives in a team environment, and is ready to continue building their clinical skills.

This is a great opportunity for an assistant who already has veterinary hospital experience and wants to take on an active role supporting our doctors, technicians, patients, and clients.

Responsibilities may include:
Assist veterinarians and technicians during appointments, treatments, and proceduresSafely restrain and handle patients for examinations and treatmentsObtain patient histories and assist with room appointmentsPrepare exam rooms, treatment areas, and surgical suitesAssist with surgical preparation and patient recoveryCollect laboratory samples and assist with in-house diagnostic testingPerform venipuncture and assist with IV catheter placement based on experienceAssist with digital radiographs and other diagnosticsAdminister medications, vaccines, and treatments under veterinary supervisionProvide attentive care to hospitalized patientsCommunicate with clients regarding basic patient care and discharge instructionsMaintain accurate patient information and treatment documentationClean, disinfect, and maintain patient care and treatment areasSupport your teammates and help maintain an efficient hospital workflowWhat We're Looking For12+ years of veterinary assistant or veterinary hospital experience preferredComfortable with animal restraint and hands-on patient carePrevious experience with blood draws, laboratory samples, treatments, or surgical assistance is highly preferredStrong communication and client service skillsAbility to work effectively in a busy, team-focused environmentDependable, compassionate, and willing to jump in wherever neededEager to learn and continue developing veterinary clinical skillsWillingness to work rotating Saturday shiftsExperience with surgery, anesthesia, dentistry, or large animals is a plusBenefitsCompetitive compensation based on experienceMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with employer matchPaid Time Off and paid holidaysPaid parental leaveAnnual scrub allowanceComplimentary online continuing education with assistant-focused coursesEmployee Assistance Program with 24/7 mental health supportEmployee pet care discountsTeam recognition and incentive programsReady to Join Our Team?
