SUMMARY A
room assistant is responsible for loading pets into rooms and maintaining cleanliness of the exam rooms and lobby during business hours.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides compassionate care to patients and clients; able to conduct oneself in a confident and professional manner even when stressed and/or focused on individual tasks. Receives animals to be admitted, is responsible for their proper identification and for recording their respective location. Prepares and maintains exam rooms. Typical daily Responsibilities include the oversight of technician appointments and keeping doctor appointments on track by loading and cleaning rooms as soon as possible. Understands the importance of a clean and orderly facility and does so as part of regular normal job duty. Follows regular schedule for cleaning and sanitizing. Collects urine and fecal specimens as directed by the doctor Recognizes and records any unusual condition or abnormal behavior Maintains cleanliness throughout the hospital as directed by the Practice Manager Maintains positive, cooperative relationships with other employees. Performs other duties as assigned including assisting in other areas.
