What You Can Expect in the Role A wide range of clinical experiences —from wellness exams and urgent care to surgery and dentistry assisting. Key Responsibilities Support veterinarians during exams, diagnostics, and treatments Administer medications and vaccinations as directed Prepare and monitor patients during anesthesia and surgical procedures Perform dental cleanings and assist with radiographs Conduct lab testing, collect samples, and place IV catheters Educate clients on preventive health, nutrition, and home care Help maintain accurate medical records and clinic flow What We're Looking For At least 2 years of experience as a veterinary assistant or technician Confidence in your technical skills with a willingness to continue learning Strong teamwork and communication skills Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment A positive attitude and passion for animal health and client education National Veterinary Associates is a leading global pet care organization united in the love of animals and the people who love them.
