Part-Time Hybrid Veterinary Assistant / Receptionist Camargo Animal Hospital — Madeira, Ohio Camargo Animal Hospital is looking for a friendly, dependable, and compassionate part-time Veterinary Assistant / Receptionist to join our team in Madeira, Ohio. This is a hybrid position , combining reception responsibilities with veterinary assistant duties. We are seeking someone who enjoys working with both people and animals. Why Join Us? Small. What You'll Do Reception responsibilities Greet clients and their pets with a warm, professional attitude Answer phones, schedule appointments, and assist with client questions Check clients in and out and process payments Maintain accurate patient and client records Communicate with clients regarding appointments, medications, and follow-up care Keep the reception area organized and welcoming Veterinary assistant responsibilities Assist veterinarian and veterinary technician with patient care and appointments Restrain and handle dogs and cats Prepare exam rooms and treatment area Obtain and record patient information Assist with laboratory procedures, cleaning, and patient care as directed Maintain a clean, organized hospital environment Help keep appointments running smoothly What We're Looking For Previous veterinary, animal care, medical, or customer-service experience preferred Telephone skills Comfortable handling dogs and cats Excellent communication and customer-service skills Dependable, organized, and able to think independently Positive attitude and willingness to learn Ability to work effectively as part of a team Professional, compassionate, and attentive to detail
