Kennel Attendant :
the one who notices who didn't finish breakfast, who needs a slower walk, and who just needs some company. That kind of attention can't be taught, but everything else about this job can be, and at Cherokee Trail Veterinary Hospital , we will. About the Practice Cherokee Trail Veterinary Hospital is an AAHA accredited, Fear Free, and Cat Friendly practice that has cared for the pets of Lexington since 1976, long enough that some of our clients grew up in our lobby and now bring their own kids and their own dogs. Our full-service hospital offers wellness care, surgery, rehabilitation, and advanced diagnostics, and the pets who board with us get the same attention as the patients in our exam rooms. What You'll Help Make Possible Pets that settle in, eat well, and rest easy because someone paid attention to the details of their stay A hospital that opens every morning clean, stocked, and ready before the first patient arrives Daily care that happens on time, every time, so nothing about a pet's routine falls through the cracks A calmer experience for nervous pets, from first walk to final pickup The kind of stay that makes an owner say "he seems happier than when we dropped him off" What We're Looking For Required Comfort working around dogs and cats Preferred Prior animal care, boarding, kennel, or veterinary experience Interest in growing within animal care or veterinary medicine No experience required. If you bring the patience and the work ethic, we'll bring the training. Schedule Full-time, day shifts 9-hour shifts Rotating weekends as part of the team schedule Holidays included in the team rotation Compensation Compensation for this role starts at $14.50/hour, based on experience and role alignment.
