Job Description
Cheyenne River Animal Hospital is a 4 doctor mixed animal practice in the Southern Black Hills looking to hire a veterinary assistant. Clinic utilizes Avimark, in-house Idexx machines, digital rads, multimodal anesthesia monitoring. Duties include helping with surgery, anesthesia monitoring, taking radiographs, drawing and running labwork, assisting in appointments, some reception and kennel work. Opportunities to be outside by helping with horse appointments and herd work! Hours are 8-5 M-F, average of one Saturday/month from 8-2. No after hours, everyone works together to get out by 5:10pm! Pay negotiable by experience, IRA match, CE, licenses, and generous PTO. We are located in the beautiful Black Hills, ideal for someone who enjoys the outdoors!
Qualifications:
- Experience working as a veterinary assistant or in a similar role preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
