Job Description

Join Our Team! We are a privately owned veterinary practice looking to add a Veterinary Technician/Veterinary Assistant to our team. We are looking for someone who is proactive, dependable, compassionate, and able to think through problems independently . Previous veterinary experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate . We're looking for someone who takes initiative, is curious and excited to learn new things, can work independently, and enjoys being part of a team. What You'll Do You'll be involved in the day-to-day care of our patients, working alongside the veterinarians and the rest of our team.
Responsibilities include:
Patient intake, histories, vitals, and restraint Assisting with exams, procedures, surgery, anesthesia, and dental care Blood draws, IV catheter placement, radiographs, and in-house laboratory work Medication preparation and patient monitoring/recovery Maintaining clean, organized treatment and surgical areas Communicating with clients and assisting with patient care instructions Cross-training in CSR duties, including phones, scheduling, check-in/check-out, and client communication Helping wherever needed to keep the practice running smoothly Veterinary experience is preferred but not required. We are happy to train the right person who demonstrates the attitude, work ethic, and willingness to learn that we're looking for. Schedule - Full-time, on-site position Flexible schedule Monday-Friday, generally 7:30 AM-5:30 PM one week day off per week Rotating Saturday shifts (If it is your weekend off we try our best to give you Friday off that week so you can have a three day weekend) Veterinary medicine can be unpredictable, so flexibility and a willingness to help when needed are important.
