Job Description
Company Description Goose Creek Pet Hospital, LLC is a veterinary practice based at 4400 Franklin South Court in Franklin, Tennessee, United States. The hospital is dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality medical care to companion animals in the local community. Team members work closely with pet families to support preventive care, treatment, and long-term wellness. Goose Creek Pet Hospital values reliable, patient-centered care and strong client relationships. Role Description The Veterinary Technician role is a full-time, on-site position. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures, as well as monitoring patients before, during, and after anesthesia. The Veterinary Technician will perform lab tests, collect samples, administer medications, and provide routine animal care such as handling, restraining, and basic nursing support. The role also involves maintaining clean and safe clinical areas, updating medical records accurately, and supporting front-desk operations as needed. In addition, the Veterinary Technician will educate clients on pet health, preventive care, and home care instructions while contributing to a positive, respectful team environment. Qualifications Animal Care and Pet Care skills, including safe handling, restraint, and monitoring of companion animals. Candidates should possess technician skills, such as basic diagnostics, medication administration, and support for clinical procedures. Possess Anesthesiology-related skills, including assisting with anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery under veterinary supervision. We can help train for this! Client Education skills to effectively communicate treatment plans, preventive care, and home-care instructions to pet families. Credentialed or licensed veterinary technician (or eligibility for licensure) preferred; prior experience in a small animal clinic or hospital is beneficial. Strong attention to detail, reliability, ability to work on a team, and commitment to low-stress handling and animal welfare are required. Basic computer literacy and comfort with electronic medical records; flexibility to work some weekends or extended hours as needed.
