The Veterinary Assistant will be responsible for providing animal care, cleaning kennels and feeding pets, assisting with veterinary medicine and surgical procedures, general cleaning, educating clients on pet care, and delivering exceptional customer service. Scheduling appointments, handling registration, taking care of checkout and payment will also be required. This role requires a strong passion for animals and the ability to work effectively as part of a veterinary team. Must be able to work afternoons/evenings and some rotating weekends for kennel duty, precisely follow instructions with attention to detail, a love of pets and willingness to clean up their messes with a smile! Must be good with people and have a love for animals. We are seeking a team player who is willing to learn and multi-task. Previous veterinary / animal experience required and reception experience is a plus. Bending, lifting, carrying, and cleaning are definitely part of this job.
