Company Overview Tri-County Veterinary Services, located off of N. State Hwy 121 on the outskirts of Anna, TX, is a full-service animal hospital dedicated to providing the highest quality veterinary care and customer service. Our facility caters to both small companion animals and large animals, including horses and livestock, ensuring compassionate care throughout their lives. TCVS is a family owned private practice right here in your community for 20+ years, offering family-friendly hours and no oncall or after hours shifts. Our awesome team is looking to add an additional Licensed Veterinary Technician, Experienced Veterinary Technician, or Experienced Veterinary Assistant with at least 3 years of experience. Summary We are seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician, Experienced Veterinary Technician, or Experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team at Tri-County Veterinary Services near Anna, TX. In this role, you will be instrumental in delivering exceptional veterinary care and support to our patients. Your expertise will contribute significantly to our commitment to providing comprehensive medical and surgical services. Large animal experience not required. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, diagnostics, and patient care. Perform technical procedures including blood draws, IV catheter placement, administering medications, and vaccinations. Assist with surgical procedures and monitor patients under anesthesia and throughout recovery. Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing. Safely handle and restrain patients for examinations, treatments, and procedures. Maintain accurate medical records and patient documentation. Provide compassionate, professional support to clients and their pets. Educate clients regarding medications, preventive care, and veterinarian recommendations. Requirements Minimum of 3 years of hands-on veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience. Licensed Veterinary Technicians with appropriate hands-on experience are encouraged to apply. Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, common procedures, and animal handling. Ability to confidently perform technical skills appropriate to the position, including blood draws and IV catheter placement. Experience assisting with surgery and monitoring patients under anesthesia. Excellent communication skills with clients and team members. Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Large-animal experience is not required.
