Job Description

2222 Veterinary Clinic is currently seeking a Kennel Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual with excellent personal skills. We focus on providing top of the line patient care while maintaining exceptional customer service. You must have the ability to multitask and willing to learn new skills daily. Our kennel technicians work closely with the veterinary staff in addition to taking care of our boarding dogs and cats. This is an entry level position, but has the opportunity for growth and education. We are a fast paced, growing, 3 doctor practice. We have a paperless system (VIA). This is a great entry level position into a career in veterinary medicine, but can be modified for more experienced applicants. This position is full-time and morning availability is a must. You will be required to work up to 1 weekend a month and work some holidays on a rotational basis. Pay based on experience.
Skills required:
  • Availability to lift 40 pounds on your own and up to 100 pounds with assistance of others.
  • Lifting/carrying bags of food up to 35 pounds
  • Communication with all aspects of the veterinary team and clients Position responsibilities:
  • Walking dogs
  • Cleaning up the walking area
  • Cleaning cat condos and litter boxes
  • Laundry (Lots!)
  • Cleaning patient kennels
  • Assisting the technicians and doctors with restraint
  • Maintain cleanliness of the Clinic
  • Obtaining vitals on patients
  • Bathing of patients
  • Feeding boarding pets The ideal candidate:
