Job Overview Join our dynamic veterinary team as a Veterinary Technician / Technician Assistant, where your passion for animal care and technical expertise will make a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and their owners. This paid role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, compassionate environment, supporting veterinary professionals with hands-on animal care, medical procedures, and client communication. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help ensure every animal receives the highest standard of care while fostering a positive experience for clients. Duties Assist with animal handling, restraint, and behavior management to ensure safe and stress-free examinations and procedures Support veterinarians and veterinary technicians during surgeries, diagnostics, and critical care treatments Perform animal husbandry tasks including feeding, cleaning kennels, maintaining hygiene standards, and ensuring proper record keeping Administer medications, IV insertions, catheterizations, and injections following veterinary protocols and safety guidelines Maintain a clean and organized clinic environment by sanitizing equipment, surgical areas, and treatment spaces using appropriate PPE (personal protective equipment) Communicate effectively with clients about pet care instructions, medication schedules, and post-treatment follow-up Requirements 1 year prior veterinary clinic experience is required High school diploma / GED Strong animal handling skills across various species including dogs, cats, and equines Ability to perform cleaning duties diligently while adhering to safety protocols using PPE at all times Experience with record keeping related to pet health histories and treatment logs Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration Benefits Employee discount Simple IRA Health insurance program Paid time off This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to grow their career in veterinary medicine while making a positive impact on animal welfare.
