Job Description

Position Overview This hybrid position plays a key role in helping PetVet365 Georgetown & PetVet365 Leander establish deeper connections within the community and to continue to support these hospital teams in growing a loyal client base. This position combines client experience, veterinary assistant skills, administrative skills, marketing, and some operational partnership responsibilities to support the overall growth and success of the practices. Initially, time would be unevenly split between the two Austin PetVet365 locations with primary responsibilities at Georgetown (75%). This is a full-time position. The ideal candidate is passionate about Fear Free veterinary medicine and genuinely loves both people and pets. They are equally energized by building relationships with clients, caring for pets within the hospital, and helping our new practices grow. This person is a natural connector who enjoys networking, promoting the hospital, supporting the team, and creating exceptional experiences that turn first-time visitors into lifelong advocates.   • Is comfortable supporting both "front office" and patient care responsibilities.

  • Wants to make a meaningful impact on the success of the hospitals in the Austin area. Technical & Clinical Skills
  • Comfortable assisting with patient care and handling pets using Fear Free techniques. ○ Checking clients/patients into rooms ○ Obtaining a thorough history ○ Assisting the doctors and other team members with patient care ○ Cleaning, restocking and other organizational duties as needed
  • Ability to support both client service and clinical workflows as needed. ○ Answering the phone ○ Answering text messages via Text Request app ○ Answering emails
  • Proficiency with veterinary practice software and computer systems (ability to learn Provet)
  • Basic understanding of veterinary terminology and hospital procedures.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills. ○ Assist with VIP Wellness Plan administration tasks ○ Assist doctors/team with inventory best practices
  • Ability to learn new systems and adapt as the hospital grows.
  • Knowledge of social media and digital marketing tools is a plus.
  • Ability to do community outreach and marketing events Qualifications Education & Certifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Fear Free Certification required (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
  • Veterinary assistant skills and/or a desire to learn basic skills (proper animal handling, giving injections, phlebotomy, etc.) Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in veterinary medicine, hospitality, customer service, and/or local marketing/outreach in the pet industry preferred.
  • Experience in both direct patient care and client service strongly preferred.
Pay:
$19.00 - $23.00 per hour
