Veterinary Technician/Assistant Position Now Hiring:
Veterinary Technician Town & Country Animal Clinic is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team!
What We're Looking For:
We are seeking a dependable, compassionate, and hardworking Veterinary Assistant who is dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and outstanding client service. The ideal candidate has a positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. A willingness to learn, adapt, and grow within the practice is essential.
Schedule and Availability:
Shifts vary based on business needs. Candidates must have open, flexible availability. Regular evening, weekend, and holiday shifts are required.
Responsibilities:
Safely assist with patient handling and restraint during examinations and treatments. Prepare examination rooms and maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary hospital environment. Perform kennel duties, including feeding, watering, and walking boarded patients. Cleaning and disinfecting kennels, and picking up after animals. Collect blood, urine, fecal, and other diagnostic samples as directed. Assist with surgical preparation and monitoring, including anesthesia monitoring under veterinary supervision. Provide compassionate nursing care to hospitalized and recovering patients. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records. Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients regarding patient care. Collaborate effectively with veterinarians and fellow team members to provide exceptional patient care. Support daily hospital operations and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Previous veterinary experience is preferred but willing to train the right Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Passion for animal health and welfare with a compassionate approach to patient care. Ability to safely and confidently work with dogs and cats of varying sizes, breeds, and temperaments. Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team. Strong communication and organizational skills. Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to the needs of the hospital.
