The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care for animals in a veterinary clinic setting. This position involves assisting veterinarians and veterinary technicians in various tasks, ensuring the well-being of our patients, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures Administer medications as directed by the veterinarian Handle and restrain animals safely during examinations and treatments Maintain accurate medical records and documentation Perform laboratory tests and assist with diagnostic procedures Ensure cleanliness of the clinic, including kennels and examination rooms Educate pet owners on proper animal care and health practices Skills Strong understanding of animal husbandry practices Previous veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience is highly desirable Knowledge of veterinary critical care procedures Experience at the front desk handling client interactions is a plus Proficient in animal restraint techniques Ability to administer medications accurately and safely Familiarity with veterinary terminology and animal physiology Competence in pet care, animal handling, and dog handling techniques Understanding of animal anatomy knowledge is essential Laboratory experience in a veterinary setting is an asset Join our team to make a difference in the lives of animals while working in a supportive environment that values your skills and dedication.
