This is a brand-new practice that opened January 5th, 2026 that offers general services to Hutto, TX and surrounding communities. We are a full-service practice providing quality care to dogs and cats. Our dedicated team includes an experienced support staff that provides exceptional care. We are a fast-paced hospital looking for an individual who can develop a rapport with clients and has a passion for being the first point of contact for our clients. Quality is our focus, as our compassionate team works together to provide our clients and patients with the highest standard of care. Responsibilities Assist with animal restraint, handling, and pet care to ensure safety and comfort during examinations and procedures Support veterinary technicians with tasks such as medication administration, IV insertions, animal catheterization, and surgery preparation Maintain cleanliness of treatment areas, kennels, and surgical suites through thorough cleaning and sanitation practices Help with record keeping by documenting treatments, medications, and patient information accurately in medical records Communicate effectively with clients about pet care instructions, post-operative care, and general questions to foster trust and transparency Handle animals gently during routine activities like exams, and technician appointments. Requirements Prior kennel experience or hands-on animal handling experience preferred Experience working in a veterinary clinic or with veterinary technicians is highly desirable Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and behavior is beneficial Ability to perform cleaning duties efficiently while adhering to safety protocols using PPE Skilled in animal restraint techniques suitable for dogs or cats Strong communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Willingness to learn new skills related to critical care procedures such as medication administration or surgery support Benefits We take employee wellbeing seriously and offer competitive pay, medical benefits (including health, dental, and vision), retirement, an employee assistance program (EAP), employee discounts, and more.
