Priority Pet Care Veterinary Hospital is looking for compassionate, dependable Veterinary Assistants to join our privately owned urgent care team. You'll be an essential member of our veterinary team, assisting with examinations, treatments, diagnostics, and procedures while helping pets receive high-quality care when they need it most. Every day is different in urgent care, giving you the opportunity to expand your technical skills while working alongside a collaborative team dedicated to exceptional medicine and outstanding client care. We are hiring both full-time and part-time Veterinary Assistants. Clinic hours are Friday through Tuesday, 9:00 AM-7:00 PM. Because we provide urgent care services when many primary care hospitals are closed, all candidates must be available to work every Saturday and Sunday . Why Join Priority Pet Care? Privately owned urgent care hospital Emergency-level medicine without overnight shifts Collaborative team that values communication and accountability Opportunity to build and expand your technical skills Cross-training opportunities to become a well-rounded team member More time focused on quality patient care Weekend medicine with a predictable schedule Growing hospital with opportunities for advancement What You'll Do Assist veterinarians with patient examinations, treatments, and procedures Safely restrain canine and feline patients Collect laboratory samples and perform in-house diagnostics Administer medications as directed Prepare patients and equipment for medical procedures Obtain high-quality digital and dental radiographs Monitor anesthesia and assist with patient recovery (based on experience) Educate clients on medications, treatment plans, and discharge instructions Maintain accurate medical records Assist with daily opening and closing responsibilities Maintain a clean, organized hospital through stocking, cleaning, and general maintenance Cross-train to support other areas of the hospital as needed
We're Looking For Someone Who Is:
Experienced as a Veterinary Assistant (minimum one year preferred) Compassionate, confident, and calm under pressure Dependable with excellent attendance Self-motivated and able to take initiative Comfortable in a fast-paced urgent care environment Knowledgeable in veterinary terminology and basic medical procedures Able to safely handle and restrain dogs and cats A strong communicator with clients and teammates A team player who enjoys pitching in wherever needed Interested in growing with a practice for the long term
Pay & Perks That Matter Starting Pay:
