Immediate Opening Available Toebeans & Tails Veterinary Hospital is a small, independently owned veterinary clinic that opened its doors in May 2025. We're passionate about delivering personalized, high-quality care to pets and building strong, lasting relationships with their people. We firmly believe in supporting and facilitating the human-animal bond. As a one-doctor practice, we rely on a supportive, versatile team to keep things running smoothly—and that's where you come in! We're looking for a Cross-Trained Veterinary Receptionist / Veterinary Assistant who is comfortable wearing multiple hats. Whether you're greeting clients at the front desk or helping with patient care, you'll make a meaningful impact in every part of the client and patient experience.
What You'll Do:
Reception (Front Desk): Greet clients and patients warmly and professionally Answer phones, manage scheduling, and respond to client emails Check patients in and out, process invoices and payments Maintain accurate patient records Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients about services and care Assistant (Back of House): Assist the veterinarian with exams and treatments Safely handle and restrain dogs and cats of all sizes Prepare and clean exam rooms and basic equipment Administer medications and treatments as directed Help ensure patients are calm, comfortable, and cared for
What We're Looking For:
Veterinary experience preferred but not required(reception, assistant, or both) A genuine love of animals—and a deep respect for the people who love them Ability to work collaboratively in a small, flexible team Strong multitasking, communication, and problem-solving skills Comfort with learning new technology and protocols; basic computer skills are required Bonus if you've used Shepherd Veterinary Software Fluency in Spanish is a plus
