Veterinary Receptionist and Assistant

Veterinary Receptionist and Assistant Duties:

Customer service and reception duties Medical record documentation Assist veterinarian in providing care to animals Handle and restrain animals during examinations and procedures Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarian Dispense medication as directed by veterinarian Prepare laboratory samples and perform basic laboratory tests such as blood work, cytology, and urinalysis Clean and maintain hospital setting: reception, examination rooms, kennels, and surgical areas Surgery check in and set up assitance

Skills:

Strong communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members. Ability to handle animals with care and compassion. Attention to detail for accurately following instructions and recording information. Physical stamina to lift and restrain animals of various sizes. Knowledge of basic animal care and medical terminology preferred We offer competitive pay based on experience. This is a full-time position within our veterinary practice. Our practice offers veterinary services to cats and dogs only. We are a small, single doctor practice located in Leesburg, VA. Pay:

$21.00 - $22.00 per hour
