Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
Field Assistance:
Assist veterinarians during field appointments, providing hands-on support for various procedures including examinations, vaccinations, and minor surgeries. Handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately during appointments. Prepare and organize medical supplies and equipment for each visit, ensuring all necessary items are stocked and ready for use. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the mobile clinic, including sanitizing equipment and workspaces. Collect and process laboratory samples as needed, following proper protocols for handling and transport. Assist with the administration of medications and treatments as directed by the veterinarian. Qualifications:
Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care setting is necessary. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a friendly and professional demeanor. Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately, with a calm and patient approach. Basic understanding of veterinary procedures and medical terminology. Comfortable working in a mobile environment, with the flexibility to adapt to varying schedules and locations. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry animals and equipment up to 50 pounds. Comfortable with prolonged periods of standing, walking, and physical activity. Willingness to work in varying weather conditions as appointments may be outdoors or in clients' homes. How to
