Job Description

Outstanding non-corporate Veterinary Hospital seeking Veterinary Nurses/Assistants looking for life-changing careers. The Animal Medical Center of Cascades offers excellent medical care, surgery, diagnostics, and pet grooming in a fast-paced, compassionate and fun team environment. We offer compensation based on experience with a fantastic work-life balance. Experience working with animals in a boarding, grooming or clinical setting required. Our ideal candidate will be friendly, outgoing, intelligent, high-energy and passionate about animal care and veterinary medicine. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. This is a full-time permanent (non-seasonal) position. Part-time will be considered for students in a healthcare or veterinary field of study based on applicant availability and clinic needs.
Duties:
  • Facility care: keeping all areas of the clinic clean and well-stocked.
  • Assist licensed technicians and veterinarians with examinations, treatments, collection of diagnostic samples and surgeries.
  • Prepare and maintain examination rooms and surgical suites.
  • Collect and process laboratory samples.
  • Perform diagnostic tests such as bloodwork and urinalysis.
  • Administer medications and vaccines under the supervision of a veterinarian.
  • Provide basic grooming services such as bathing, brushing and nail trimming.
  • Assist with animal restraint during exams and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate medical records.

Please Note:
This is a physically demanding job. Applicant must be able to walk and stand for extended periods, and must be able to bend and lift (up to 50 pounds) safely. Please note that this position requires occasional holiday shifts and rotating weekend shifts.
