Responsibilities Provide compassionate animal husbandry and kennel care, including feeding, cleaning, medication administration, and monitoring animals' health and behavior. Assist veterinary technicians and veterinarians with clinical procedures such as animal restraint, medication administration, and sample collection. Support laboratory tasks including sample processing and maintaining accurate records of animal treatments. Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques; assist with dog handling and other species as needed. Maintain cleanliness and aseptic techniques within treatment areas to prevent infection and ensure a sterile environment. Support front desk duties such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and communicating with pet owners. Float between departments to provide flexible support in areas like critical care, surgery prep, or general kennel duties. Overall hospital cleanliness and maintenance Qualifications Previous kennel experience or animal husbandry background preferred; experience working in a veterinary clinic is highly valued. Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, anatomy, and basic laboratory procedures a plus Experience with animal restraint techniques, medication administration, and pet care best practices. Excellent communication skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
