Job description Old Bridge Veterinary Hospital is currently seeking experienced Veterinary Assistants to join our amazing team! Key Responsibilities Engage with every client in a warm and welcoming manner Weigh patients and obtain vital signs Clean and sanitize exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment Safely restrain animals during examinations and vaccinations Assist with routine procedures Draw up vaccines and injections for veterinarian administration Obtain and accurately document patient histories Promote preventive healthcare recommendations Stock and maintain hospital supplies Provide exceptional care to companion animal patients while delivering professional client service Maintain punctual and reliable attendance Physical Requirements & Skills Ability to measure and record weight, temperature, pulse, and respiratory rate Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts Ability to lift and carry pets and objects up to 50 pounds independently; assist with heavier patients as needed Strong communication skills with the ability to multitask and problem-solve Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and remain calm under stress Experience with IDEXX and Cornerstone software is a plus
Pay:
$14.00 - $18.00 per hour
