In this energetic role, you will support veterinarians and veterinary technicians by assisting with medical procedures, animal handling, and client communication. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help ensure our furry patients receive compassionate, high-quality care in a fast-paced environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your veterinary skills while making a positive impact on pets and their owners every day. Duties Assist with animal restraint, handling, and grooming to ensure safe and stress-free examinations and procedures Support veterinary staff during surgeries, medical-surgical treatments, and critical care cases by preparing instruments and maintaining aseptic techniques Perform laboratory tasks such as sample collection, processing, and basic analysis following veterinary protocols Manage kennel duties including cleaning, feeding, and monitoring animals' health status to promote optimal animal husbandry practices Maintain accurate medical records using veterinary software while adhering to DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) and USDA regulations Communicate effectively with clients at the front desk regarding pet care instructions, appointment scheduling, and treatment plans Support administrative tasks including inventory management of medical supplies and assisting with pet grooming or training sessions as needed Experience Prior experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care setting is highly preferred, including familiarity with veterinary terminology and clinical procedures Demonstrated knowledge of animal anatomy, restraint techniques, and aseptic methods for medical procedures such as animal catheterization Experience with dog handling, pet grooming, and equine care is advantageous for supporting diverse patient needs Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and client communication purposes Hands-on experience with veterinary software systems used for record keeping and appointment management Knowledge of Veterinary critical care practices, laboratory procedures, and drug regulations (DEA/USDA) to ensure compliance and safety Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with pet owners and team members about treatment plans and pet health Embark on a rewarding career where your passion for animals meets professional growth!
