Veterinary Animal Care

Are you passionate about animals and enjoy working in a fast-paced, caring environment? We are a privately owned, busy veterinary hospital, looking for a full time, Animal Care Assistant to join our dedicated team.

What You'll Do:

Provide daily care for hospitalized and boarding animals, including feeding, cleaning, and exercise Checking in boarding pets, and speaking to clients to gather required information for their pet's stay Bathing animals Playing with animals Maintain clean, sanitary kennel and hospital areas Monitor animal health and behavior, reporting changes to veterinary staff Administer medication under the supervision of the medical staff Keep accurate records regarding patient care, including appetite and water consumption, urine and fecal output, treatments, medications, and more Assist with laundry, dishes, and general clinic cleaning Support the veterinary and technician team with occasional restraint and patient handling

What We're Looking For:

A genuine love for animals and interest in their care Professional, dependable, hard-working, and detail-oriented Comfortable with cleaning duties and physically demanding tasks Ability to work independently and as part of a team Endless patience for the pets in your care Willingness to be around strong odors, and ability to clean up urine and feces without issue Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time Ability to easily bend and lift Must be 18 years old with a high school diploma Previous kennel, veterinary, or animal care experience is a plus, but we're happy to train the right people!
