Job Description
Are you a compassionate, dedicated and experienced mixed animal veterinary assistant who is organized, works well as part of a team, and displays a professional demeanor? If so, we are looking for you! We are looking for a great veterinary assistant to support our 6 veterinarians and create a positive experience for our clients and their pets. Currently our needs are for 20-30 hours/week. We are a respected, multi-doctor, established mixed veterinary practice. Our primary hospital is located in beautiful rural Ellensburg, Wa and our satellite clinic is in Cle Elum, Wa. Our core values and emphasis on work/life balance contribute to our low staff turnover rate. We utilize Ezyvet as our cloud based medical software provider. This job may be for you if you: Have at least 1 year experience in veterinary assisting. Practice our core values of: welcoming, compassion, teamwork, excellence, dedication and integrity. Are comfortable working with small animals and horses. Are knowledgeable in all aspects of veterinary assistant duties. Can obtain and record medical histories, vitals, test results and other information for medical records while maintaining strict confidentiality. Can effectively communicate with other staff members. Can deliver compassionate support, attention, and assistance to clients and their pets. Can perform routine in house and send out laboratory tests. Are comfortable in using DR systems, class IV rehab laser (we will offer training and certification on the laser if you are not certified), endoscope and the knowledge of cleaning and disinfecting the medical equipment used daily. Are proficient at preparing/performing/assisting in medical procedures.
