Job Description
Veterinary RVT / Nurse / Assistant Animal Medical Center - AAHA Accredited Small Animal Hospital Morgantown, WV • In-person • Full-time or Part-time We are adding a Veterinary RVT/Nurse/Assistant to our team due to continued growth. We are looking for a dependable, capable person who provides careful patient care while also communicating kindly and clearly with pet owners. Our staff build long-term relationships with clients — patience, courtesy, and professionalism matter as much or more as technical skill. AMC fosters an organized, supportive, team-oriented practice. Responsibilities Gather patient history Assist doctors with exams and treatments Low-stress patient handling and restraint Laboratory sample collection and basic diagnostics Radiology and anesthesia monitoring (training provided as needed) Surgical preparation and assisting Client education & relationship building Help owners understand medications and follow-up care General nursing and patient care Schedule Shifts occur within: 7am-6:30pm (Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri) 7am-8:30pm (Thu) 7:45am-1pm (Sat) Part-time or full-time depending on your preference. Some evenings and Saturday mornings required. Qualifications Veterinary or animal handling experience preferred Clear, friendly communication with clients Ability to build trust and explain care instructions Organized and attentive to detail Reliable attendance and willingness to learn RVT/licensed technicians encouraged to apply and Competitive pay commensurate with skills, aptitude and education. Pay & Benefits Starting wage: $12-$18/hour depending on experience, skills, education and licensing and skills. Regular performance and cost-of-living wage adjustments. Starting wage depends on experience and skills.
