Parkersburg Veterinary Hospital 3602 E. 7th St., Parkersburg, WV 26104 Join a Team That Loves What They Do At Parkersburg Veterinary Hospital, we're searching for a Veterinary Assistant who is passionate about animal care, thrives in a collaborative environment, and wants to be part of a team that truly enjoys working together. Our Parkersburg hospital is a busy, full-service practice with 7 veterinarians, providing exceptional medical care for dogs and cats. Team members may also have the opportunity to support our nearby Vienna location, a smaller outpatient-focused practice, offering a variety of experiences while working alongside an outstanding team. We're looking for someone with a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a genuine passion for veterinary medicine. Experience is important, but finding the right person to fit our culture is our top priority. What You'll Do As a Veterinary Assistant, you'll play an essential role in supporting our veterinarians and technicians by: Assisting with patient restraint and handling Preparing exam rooms and treatment areas Supporting laboratory testing and diagnostics Assisting during procedures and surgeries Providing compassionate care to hospitalized patients Educating and communicating with pet owners Maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient hospital environment What We're Looking For Veterinary Assistant experience of two or more years Passion for caring for dogs and cats Positive, team-oriented attitude Self-motivated and eager to learn Dependable, adaptable, and ready to jump in where needed Excellent communication and customer service skills A desire to contribute to a supportive, collaborative culture Schedule Full-time position Typically, three 12-hour shifts per week Occasionally three full days plus one half day Rotating weekend schedule Compensation & Benefits $16.00-$18.00/hour, based on experience Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance Paid Time Off 401(k) Employee Pet Discount Continuing Education opportunities Career growth and development Supportive leadership and a collaborative team environment Why Parkersburg Veterinary Hospital?
