At FRAH, we believe great veterinary medicine starts with a great team. We're looking for someone who is dependable, compassionate, hardworking, and ready to jump in wherever needed. As a Veterinary Technician, you'll play an important role in providing excellent care to our patients and outstanding service to their families.
Responsibilities may include:
Assisting veterinarians with exams and procedures Obtaining and recording patient histories and vital signs Collecting and processing laboratory samples Administering medications and vaccines as directed Placing and monitoring IV catheters and fluids Assisting with radiographs and diagnostic procedures Monitoring patients during surgery and recovery Providing compassionate patient care and handling Educating clients about medications, treatments, and home care Maintaining clean, organized treatment and patient areas Communicating effectively with veterinarians and fellow team members Helping wherever needed to keep the hospital running smoothly We're looking for someone who: Has veterinary technician experience or relevant veterinary education Is comfortable handling dogs and cats of all sizes and personalities Has strong communication and organizational skills Can multitask in a busy environment Is dependable and works well as part of a team Has a positive attitude and willingness to learn Treats every patient with patience, kindness, and compassion Understands that excellent client service is just as important as excellent patient care CVT/LVT applicants are encouraged to apply , but we also welcome experienced veterinary assistants and technicians who are looking to grow their skills. Our hospital operates on the following schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00 AM-6:00 PM Because veterinary medicine doesn't always fit neatly into a 9-to-5 schedule, applicants must be available to work their assigned shifts in their entirety.
