A Veterinary Technician or Technologist assists veterinarians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions in animals. May perform diagnostic tests or administer medications. Works in private veterinary practices or animal hospitals.
Kachina Animal Hospital is looking to add to our skilled team! We are currently seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician. Our ideal team member is professional, knowledgeable, courteous, flexible and a team player. We are a 2 doctor, small animal practice located in Dewey, AZ near Prescott and Prescott Valley. We are open Monday - Saturday. Full or Part Time positions are available.
Qualifications:
Veterinary experience required Friendly, outgoing, team-oriented personality Attention to detail Firm understanding of veterinary medicine and ability to educate clients as needed; strong communication skills Compassion for clients and patients Familiarity with Cornerstone software a plus! The duties of a Veterinary Technician include, but are not limited to: IV blood draws, IV catheters, filling medications, administering medications, monitoring anesthesia, taking radiographs, client service, patient care, etc.
