The candidate would ideally be cross trained as technician. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for clients and their pets, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks in a fast-paced veterinary environment. This role requires a love for animals, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask effectively. Responsibilities Greet clients and their pets warmly upon arrival, ensuring a positive experience. Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently. Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, procedures, and pet care. Maintain accurate patient records and update information as needed. Process payments and handle billing inquiries with attention to detail. Assist veterinary staff with basic animal handling during examinations or procedures. Educate clients on proper animal care, vaccination schedules, and preventive health measures. Ensure cleanliness and organization of the reception area and waiting room. Collaborate with team members to provide high-quality care for all patients. Qualifications Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care setting is preferred. Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology and animal anatomy is a plus. Familiarity with animal handling techniques and basic animal husbandry practices. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly demeanor. Proficiency in using computer systems for scheduling and record management. Knowledge of aseptic techniques and veterinary critical care is beneficial.
