In person About Salt River Veterinary Specialists Salt River Veterinary Specialists is looking for an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our growing specialty team at our new hospital in Scottsdale. We are a privately owned specialty referral hospital focused on Internal Medicine and Surgery , including advanced diagnostics and minimally invasive procedures. The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to provide overnight patient care and monitoring for our hospitalized and post-surgical patients. Our technicians are active participants in patient care and an important part of the medical team. This position offers opportunities to develop advanced nursing skills, work alongside specialty doctors, and gain experience with a high-acuity and diverse caseload. The position is approximately 40 hours per week , typically working 12-hour overnight shifts . What We're Looking For The ideal candidate will: Have a genuine passion for the human-animal bond and providing compassionate patient care Have strong veterinary nursing and technical skills Be comfortable with venipuncture and catheter placement Have experience with radiology and anesthesia Have experience with surgical monitoring Have emergency and critical care knowledge or experience preferred Communicate effectively and work cohesively with doctors, technicians, and support staff Be dependable, organized, and able to work independently while knowing when to ask for help Bring a positive attitude and contribute to a supportive team environment Take pride in providing high-quality patient care Be eager to learn new skills and continue growing professionally Have a minimum of 3 years of veterinary technician experience preferred Why Join Us?
