Experience:
2+ years as a veterinary technician required — CVT is a plus but not required Hayden Road Animal Hospital is a family-owned, small-animal practice proudly serving Scottsdale since 2014. We're looking to welcome an experienced, compassionate technician who shares our commitment to excellent medicine, collaborative care, and genuine client relationships. What You Bring 2+ years of hands-on veterinary technician experience Phlebotomy and proper, safe animal restraint techniques Working understanding of pharmacology Radiology — full body and dental Ability to monitor patients under anesthesia and prep for surgery Ability to obtain efficient, accurate pet health histories Strong computer and communication skills Punctual, dependable, and detail-oriented A commitment to the care and safety of every animal in the hospital Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay, dependent on experience PTO / paid sick leave Health insurance: BCBS HSA or PPO, plus vision and dental HSA covered 100% at $650/mo; PPO additional $130/mo Uniforms / scrub tops provided 401(k) match: 3%
Schedule & Workflow Hours:
M-F 7 AM-6
30 PM, Sat 8 AM-1
PM Appointments:
30 min standard / 60 min for double pets Surgery blocks: 4-5 hours daily per doctor Flexible work week with overtime as approved — seeking both full-time and part-time Shared Saturday/Sunday boarder coverage on a rotating basis (about once a month), paid at 1.5× when boarders are present What We Treat Dogs (65%) and cats (30%) Exotics (5%) — birds, ferrets, reptiles, and pocket pets Police K9 units — we work closely with agencies across Arizona Our Facilities Two beautiful buildings: a Diagnostic Center and a Wellness Center 8 spacious exam rooms with whiteboards 2 surgical suites and 3 dental tables Large treatment areas and multiple patient wards / boarding runs A 240-gallon saltwater tank featuring Olsen Hegar, our chubby puffer mascot

Antech, Idexx In-house diagnostics: Abaxis hematology / chemistry, PT/PTT, lactate
Imaging:
3 high-powered ultrasound machines (Mindray DC-70, Vetus 9, GE VetScan), 2 digital dental radiographs, and a Cuattro/Heska HD digital radiograph machine HD endoscope / otoscope / rhinoscope 3 dental stations (scalers, LED curing, suction, high/low speed) and 2 microscopes What Makes Our Team Special?
