As a Registered Veterinary Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our animal patients. s and their owners.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals
  • Perform various laboratory tests, such as blood work and urinalysis
  • Administer medications and vaccines to animals
  • Take and develop X-rays of animals
  • Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures
  • Provide post-operative care and monitor recovery of animals
  • Educate pet owners on proper animal care and treatment plans
Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and behavior
  • Proficient in performing laboratory tests and interpreting results
  • Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and effectively
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment Brook Ellis Pet Hospital is a multi doctor hospital located in Fountain Valley, CA.
Our clients are loyal, trusting, and very compliant, which makes our hospital a wonderful place to work. We are seeking an individual with experience that is a team player with a great attitude. Our team is fun, supportive, professional, and enjoys an upbeat working environment. We are looking for an ideal candidate that is comfortable with proper animal restraint and handling, phlebotomy, IV catheter placement, surgical prep and anesthesia monitoring, dental prophylaxis, and radiographs, among other duties. At least 2 years' experience is required and an RVT degree is strongly preferred. Additional compensation will be provided with an active RVT license. Experience with exotic animals is also a plus! Must be flexible with schedule and able to work some weekends. Salary starts with experience as a technician.
