Job Description

Emergency Veterinary Technician/Assistant Part-Time/Overnight Compensation and Schedule:
Pay Range:
$27 - $32/hr. 12-24 hours per week Overnight hours beginning at 6 or 7pm Days of the week open About the role: We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and dedicated Veterinary Technician to join our emergency team . The ideal candidate is a quick thinker, thrives under pressure, and has experience in emergency care.
Key Responsibilities:
Triage and Assess:
Prioritize incoming patients and assess their condition.
Emergency Care:
Provide treatments, assist with CPR, wound care, fluids, and surgery prep.
Diagnostics:
Perform bloodwork, urinalysis, imaging, and other essential tests.
Patient Monitoring:
Track vitals, document changes, and respond to needs promptly.
Medication & Anesthesia:
Administer medications, assist with anesthesia, and ensure safe recovery.
Client Communication:
Update pet owners and provide clear discharge instructions.
Maintain Supplies & Records:
Stock equipment, maintain cleanliness, and document care.
Qualifications:
Certification :
RVT preferred but not required
Experience:
1-2 years in veterinary or emergency care Excellent veinous puncture skills Comfortable floating between departments when needed Comfortable with anesthesia
