Job Description
LA Quality Pet Care is a small animal practice in La Puente, CA. Our team prides itself in its dynamic ability to effectively care, love, and treat each pet in the moments that are most needed. From scheduling to our surgical suite, each member of our facility is passionate about understanding what family's vet care needs are. We are seeking an experienced veterinary technician to join our growing clinic. The ideal candidate is one who loves working as a team player in a fast-paced environment that is able to work independently . The individual seeking the position should have great interpersonal, written and oral communication. With the environment being fast paced we also seek individuals with great time management skills. We seek a technician looking at developing their career with possible leadership positions contingent on performance.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare Animals and Instruments for Surgery
- Administer Medications, Vaccines, and Treatments
- Provide Emergency first aid & General nursing care
- Collect and Record patient case histories
- Educate animal owners on home care
- Restrain animals for examination/treatment
- Perform In-House diagnostics and X-Rays
- Dispensing and Explaining Medications
- Venipuncture and Catheter Placement
- Anesthetic Inductions, Intubation, and Monitoring
- Administer Oral, Intravenous, Intramuscular, and Subcutaneous therapies
- Triage Urgent & Critical Care patients
