Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures including radiology diagnostics and laboratory work. Perform animal restraint, animal husbandry, and pet care to ensure comfort and safety during treatments. Administer medications, monitor anesthesia (including general anesthesia and veterinary anesthesia monitoring), and manage critical & intensive care cases. Conduct laboratory tasks such as phlebotomy, veterinary laboratory work, and sample processing with precision. Operate medical equipment including X-ray machines, diagnostic radiology tools, and other veterinary surgical instruments. Handle vascular access procedures such as IV insertion and animal catheterization while maintaining aseptic techniques. Support client communication by explaining procedures, providing pet care advice, and documenting veterinary software records accurately. Qualifications Proven kennel experience combined with strong animal handling skills for dogs, cats, and equine patients. Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and veterinary surgical assistance experience. Hands-on experience with dental terminology, dental procedures, and dental equipment operation is preferred. Demonstrated veterinary technician experience with skills in anesthesia administration, anesthesiology practices, and emergency medicine protocols. Familiarity with laboratory techniques such as phlebotomy and diagnostic radiology including X-ray imaging. Ability to perform IV insertion, animal restraint, and animal catheterization confidently while adhering to aseptic techniques. Excellent communication skills for client interaction along with proficiency in veterinary software systems.
